PAUL SCHULZ, PRINCIPAL

Principal and Owner of Schulz Consulting, Paul brings over 18 years of both executive and on-the-ground experience with organizations of local and national reach, including Pillsbury United Communities, EMERGE Community Development, Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) and Ampact.
Paul’s career has spanned direct service, Director, Vice President, and Chief Program Officer roles, leading statewide and multi-state initiatives and procuring multi-million dollar budgets. He is passionate about facilitating cross-sector partnerships, leading vision and strategy to connect community-based nonprofits, small businesses, governmental agencies, and philanthropy. Key interests include program design, fundraising, and organizational growth/business development strategies. Paul has particular expertise developing initiatives that support immigrant/refugee communities and persons reentering from incarceration.
As a formerly justice-impacted individual himself, Paul leverages professional knowledge and lived experience to bring change, with key interest in the mental health and justice systems. Overall, he is passionate about creating opportunity, access, and justice for marginalized communities.
Paul is a proud Minneapolis Northsider with his wife Katie and two children. Some of his interests include running, wrangling his kids, and participating in community events. He is an active volunteer in Minneapolis schools, his neighborhood, and for a variety of local non-profit organizations.
